How to come up with your 2020 goals

So I believe in keeping things simple – KISS (Keep it Simple Standard) or otherwise the more complicated it gets the more chances are that it’s not going to get done. Many of you have been asking me how to come up with your goals moving forward?

Now, the key to goal setting is to, first of all, understand your PURPOSE, in other words, understand you and who you are and why you are here. If you don’t do this self-examining/self-awareness exercise, the chances are that you will set goals that do not align with your WHY or PASSION – which is a recipe for failure. You may also at this point ask, what is my PURPOSE and how do I come up with it? Simply put, PURPOSE is your PASSION Zeroed in. It’s that one thing that you know for sure you were born to do. It’s not easy to discover your true purpose until you actually go through an iteration process of self-discovery.

For those of you who feel you’d like a personal touch to this in more detail – Send me an email for private 1on1 coaching and training on this particular issue – alkasendwa@alkasendwa.com

So after you’ve gone through the above process, you then have to consider 5 overarching areas of growth that you need to set goals for. For example, based on my own beliefs, the below key areas are important for me to focus on and create goals around. Feel free to use these or perhaps change to what works for you.

1. Spiritual Growth

2. Health and Wellness

3. The 3Fs – Family, Friends & Fun

4. Personal Growth

5. Financial Freedom

We can go into the details of the above in a 1on1 coaching session to not only help you draft your goals but also spend more time giving you more thought and insight into this exercise if you prefer – this is key.

However, I am going to make an offer right now – I will be doing a 45-minute webinar on this topic on the weekend of 16th November where I will be giving context and detail on the what, why and how.

If you are interested, please send me an email on alkasendwa@alkasendwa.com – Name, Number & Location plus a brief statement of your objective.
P.S. Goal setting should start now and not on the 1st of January, I will endeavor to make the case why – Looking forward to speaking soon.
